EXACT contains sensitive patient information which is why having a strong, secure password is vital to protect your patients data.
EXACT employs the use of Cloud Authentication to assist in the creation of strong passwords for EXACT and other Cloud Authenticated software such as SOE Connect, Paymentsense/Dojo.
Creating a strong password
When prompted to change your password you will be presented with the Update Password window.
Enter your new password in the New password field, repeat this in the Confirm new password field.
EXACT follows industry standards for strength, utilising a combination of leters, numbers and special characters. Your password must be a minimum strength of Medium.
With the strength identified by a colour range from Very weak to Very strong.
Resetting your password
You can reset or change your password while logged into EXACT or from the log in screen if you have forgotten your current password.
- Navigate to Configure - User Settings.
- Confirm the correct user is displayed (this may be different if you are an administrator).
- Select Update password.
- Enter your New password, then retype to Confirm new password.
- Click OK then Save.
If you have forgotten your password, you must contact your practice administrator to reset this via your User Settings window as shown above in Resetting your password, we would ticking the option to Change password at next login for the user to set their own password.
If you are an administrator and have forgotten your password, please contact the EXACT support team for assistance in resetting your password. We will require you to sign a document to authorise a high level user password reset.
