Planned treatments in Care Manager
When you have Online Bookings enabled you can send booking links to patients with planned treatment using Care Manager.
Sending online booking links via Care Manager
- Open Care Manager via Administration - Care Manager or by clicking on the Care Manager workspace button.
- Highlight the patient/course of treatment you wish to send a booking link to.
- Click Contact at the bottom of the window.
- Confirm the details for the booking are correct (if the appointment length is incorrect, scroll down to Changing appointment length in Care Manager)
- Select your message type of SMS or Email
- Choose the correct template to use, this must contain a [patient.planned.url] merge field for the patient to book their planned treatment.
- Once you have confirmed your settings, you are almost ready to send your link
- Click Edit/Send to check or alter the email before sending or click Send without editing
Changing appointment length in Care Manager
When sending booking links to patients via Care Manager, you may want to adjust the length of appointment before sending your communication.
- Open Care Manager via Administration - Care Manager or by clicking on the Care Manager workspace button.
- Highlight the patient/course of treatment you wish to send a booking link to.
- Click Contact at the bottom of the window
- Click on the COT number.
- The course of treatment for the selected patient will open.
- You can now adjust the length of the appointment (double-click on the appointment heading then change the duration).
- Click OK once all changes have been made.
- Close the Contact window then open this again for the new Duration length to display correctly.
- You are now ready to contact the patient with the correct appointment length or proceed with whatever action you wished to take (click here to scroll up to Sending online booking links via Care Manager).
