Sending Online Booking Links for Planned Treatment using Care Manager
Care Manager and the Online Bookings feature contain the functionality to send booking links to patients with planned treatment.
Sending online booking links via Care Manager
- Open Care Manager.
- Via Administration - Care Manager.
- Or clicking on the Care Manager workspace button.
- Highlight the patient/course of treatment to be sent a booking link.
- Click Contact at the bottom of the window.
- Confirm the booking details are correct (you can amend the appointment length).
- Select your preferred communication method: SMS or Email.
- Choose a template, this must contain a [patient.planned.url] merge field for the patient to receive a booking link for their planned treatment.
- Click Edit/Send to check or alter the email before sending or click Send without editing.
Changing appointment length in Care Manager
When sending booking links to patients via Care Manager, you may want to adjust the length of the appointment before sending your communication.
- Open Care Manager.
- Via Administration - Care Manager.
- Or clicking on the Care Manager workspace button.
- Highlight the patient/course of treatment to be sent a booking link.
- Click Contact at the bottom of the window.
- Click on the course of treatment (COT) number.
- The course of treatment for the selected patient will open.
- Adjust the appointment length by double-clicking the appointment heading then change the duration.
- Click OK once all changes have been made.
- Close the Contact window then open this again for the new Duration length to display correctly.
- You can now contact the patient with the correct appointment length or proceed with whatever action you need to perform.
