Creating tasks
Tasks can be added to remind yourself or other staff members about something that needs to be done. This can be a general practice task or can be made about a particular patient, for example, it could be to check some lab work.

Creating a task
- Click Administration - Tasks - New Task.
The same options can be found via the Tasks Workspace icon:
Tip: You can create patient specific tasks, via by opening the patient file then navigating to Administration - Tasks - New Task re Patient. - You will be prompted to select what user(s) you want the task to appear for. Here you can select a Group, multiple Groups, a User or multiple Users.
Select those you wish then OK.
Note: Any users ticked as "inactive" within Configure - User settings will not be displayed. -
Complete the Task details screen by entering the Task Name, Due Date, Time Due and any task Details. Ticking the Remind option will create a reminder EXACT for the user at the chosen time. Selecting Only one user needs to complete this task will allow for one of the assignees to complete the task for all assignees (introduced in EXACT v13.871)

Click the Create Task button when you have completed all required fields.
Creating patient specific tasks
- Click Administration - Tasks - New Task re: PATIENT.
The same options can be found via the Tasks Workspace icon:
- The patients name will appear on the task creation window.
- Complete the Task details screen by entering the name, date, time and task details. If you tick the remind me option it will popup in their EXACT at that time.
Click the Create Task button when you have completed all fields.
High Priority Tasks
For urgent or priority tasks, these can be marked as High Priority with an identifying icon to highlight these Tasks.
Workspace icon
If you are using the Tasks workspace icon the Tasks icon number will increment for the user(s) its been assigned to:
You will see the new Task in the My Created Task list (If you created the Task for multiple users, you will see each user listed as a Task in the My Created Task list).
