@soegatweway.com email accounts are historical email accounts, distributed to EXACT customers to get started sending and receiving emails when getting set up with EXACT.
Gmail are introducing changes in February 2024, the changes affect anyone sending email communications to Gmail accounts. Information on the changes and what actions are required can be found in the Gmail Email Sender Guidelines. We have reviewed the information in relation to @soegateway.com email accounts and do not believe you will be affected by these changes. |
Although these email accounts are secure, the security aspect of your practice email account can be improved through the use of a dedicated email provider, such as Gmail, Gsuite, Outlook and more. These providers offer multiple layers of protection.
Please Note: @soegateway.com email accounts are rejected when sending to emails to BTInternet email addresses. |

Is my practice using an @soegateway.com email address?
You can check this in EXACT.
- Open Configure - Email and SMS Setup.
- The type of email should be set to Other Email, if it's set to any of the other options, you are not using an @soegateway email account
- If set to Other Email, click Next
- Your Account Details will be displayed, your Practice Email Address or User Name will end with @soegateway.com and/or your Mail Server will contain soegateway.com
Updating your practice email account
You may wish to discuss recommended email providers with your IT support.
- Please take note of you practice email address, if you are unaware of this, follow these steps.
- Open Configure - Email and SMS Setup.
- The type of email should be set to Other Email, if it's set to any of the other options, you are not using an @soegateway email account
- Click Next
- Your Account Details will be displayed, including your Practice Email Address and User Name

Please Note: The password for your @soegateway.com email account can be located via your practice settings
- Navigate to Configure - Settings
- Search for incoming.password
- Select your email provider for specific steps from the list below, following the steps.
Forwarding emails from your @soegateway.com account to your new email account.
You only need to follow this step if you had “Enable incoming mail ticked” previously and soegateway emails coming into EXACT in File - Email - Inbox.
- Using the email address and password collected above.
- Go to https://webmail.soegateway.com.
- Log in using the email address and password
- Click settings in the Webmail home in the top right.
- Click on forwarders
- Then add forwarder
- Add the new email address to receive all future emails that may be sent to the @soegateway.com address
