NHS England - Changes in EXACT (December 2021)
On 1st December 2021, NHS England introduced some new elements, this article gives an overview of these and how you can utilise them in EXACT.
NICE Guidance
On the FP17 screen you will notice the NICE Guidance area has been reduced in size with all the previous information shown when you press the Details button.
Flexible Commissioning
A Flexible Commissioning dropdown menu has been added if required to be included with a claim.
For full information please see the Flexible Commissioning help article.
Clinical Data Sets
Four new Clinical Data sets have been added to EXACT, these include;
- Phased Treatment (The service NHS·PHASED TRT has this data set assigned)
- Custom Occlusal App - Hard Bite
- Custom Occlusal App - Soft Bite
- Denture Addition/Reline/Rebate
You can add these new data sets to any services, if you need assistance on how to set these please use our guide on NHS Service Codes and Categories.
Once a service has been charted with a dataset this will appear on the FP17 window under the 'Clinical Data Set' tab, if a service does not have a dataset assigned it will not appear on this tab and will not be counted by the NHS as a treatment.
In addition to these, the data set Permanent Fillings & Sealant Restorations CDS has been renamed Fillings.
Patient Consent
Patient consent for Contact Preference will now auto-populate with a patients information as entered on their patient record. This will also opt-in patients to be contacted by the NHS, patients can still choose to opt-out by removing the tick from the box next to the email address or mobile number.
