Email security and encryption

Outgoing emails are transmitted using your mail servers encryption settings.
Please check with your email provider as to the level of security they offer.

Please Note: This is entirely dependant on the level of encryption offered by the recipients email server. For example, regardless of the level of security of your email account, if you are sending an email to a non-secure email account the level of security will be minimal.

AOL mail Settings

Most email software and applications have an account settings menu where you'll need to update the IMAP or POP3 settings.

  1. When entering your account info, make sure you use your full email address, including the info after the @ symbol, and that the SSL encryption is enabled for incoming and outgoing mail.

    IMAP Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.aol.com
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.aol.com     		POP3-995-SSL
    SMTP-465-SSL
  2. Your Username will be the email account.
  3. The password can be provided by creating a third party password or by adding two step verification.

Outbound: smtp.stackmail.com 465
