Troubleshooting issues with Medical Cards
If seeing a "Failed to Validate Card" error in the patient recalls tab check the card number via https://www.sspcrs.ie/portal/checker/pub/check.
If it errors connecting to the website or checking that specific number then this will likely be an issue with the web lookup website, not EXACT.
'Failed to validate card' warning after new certificate installation
Having installed the new certificates provided by HSE, you may still be met with a 'Failed to validate card' warning. On occasion, new certificates may duplicate causing conflicts.
- Search for and launch the 'Run' application via the Windows search bar.
- Type 'mmc' into the run application prompt.
- Select file then add/remove snap-in... in the console menu.
- Select certificates and then add.
- This will open an additional menu, select my user account and click finish.
- This will open an additional menu, select my user account and click finish.
- This should open a folder directory to the left-hand side of the console menu.
- Expand certificates - current user.
- Then personal.
- Then double-click on the certificates folder.
- Once open, you may see two certificates, with the same issued to number. If this is the case, right click and delete the certificate at the top.
- Once deleted, close out of the console and if prompted to save settings, select no.
- Having followed the above steps, please test validating the medical card within EXACT - and if the issue persists, please contact the EXACT Support Team.

You may be required to email cert.Info@hse.ie with the number of computers you wish to be able to validate the Medical Cards on. You will then be supplied with the relevant certificates and instructions regarding installation.
