Adding/removing a default user login
A default user can be configured to pre-populate the user field on the EXACT log in screen. To add/remove this from your workstation follow the steps below.
Adding a default user login
- Launch EXACT.
- Enter the initials of the user to be set as default.
- A box will appear to Set new default login, tick this box.
- Enter you password and login, this will now be saved.
Changing the default user login
- Launch EXACT.
- Enter the new user.
- A box will appear to Set new default login, tick this box.
- Enter you password and login, this will now be saved.
Removing the default user login
- Navigate to C:\Users\CURRENTWINDOWSUSER\AppData\Roaming\SOEI\EXACT\user.ini
Replace CURRENTWINDOWSUSER with the user currently signed into windows.
You will need to and show hidden folders to find “appdata”, select View then tick Hidden items. - Double click on user.ini file.
- Delete the initials after DefaultUserName=
- Go to File - Save then exit.
- When you log in you should find there is no longer a username set as default.
