Customising the User Workspace
The section across the top of EXACT is referred to as the workspace, this can be customised with quick access icons to your most commonly used features in the system.
Configuring Your Workspace
The workspace area is specific to each user, so changing your options won't change anyone else's.
- Right-click anywhere in the workspace.
- Select Customise.
- Or use the menu options Configure - Customise Workspace.
- The workspace customisation functionality will open.
- The left-hand column contains all of your available options.
- The right-hand column is all of your currently selected options.
💡Tip: This option may be restricted by your user security level, contact your practice admin user who can edit your workspace on your behalf.
Adding an Option to your Workspace
With the workspace customisation functionality open;
- Select an option in the left-hand column.
- Click the double arrows pointing right.
- This will now move to the right-hand column.
- Use the up and down arrows at the bottom of this column to change the order of your list.
- Continue with all required options.
- Click OK when finished.
Removing an Option from your Workspace
With the workspace customisation functionality open;
- Select an option in the right-hand column.
- Click the double arrows pointing left.
- This will now remove the option.
- Continue with all required options.
- Click OK when finished.
Revealing or Hiding your Workspace
- Go to Configure - Customise Workspace.
- The workspace customisation functionality will open.
- Click the Hide Workspace to hide your workspace.
- Or click Show Workspace to reveal your workspace.
- Click OK when finished.
Configuring Another Users Workspace
EXACT Admin users can edit other users workspaces.
- Go to Configure - User settings.
- Select the appropriate user with the controls at the top of user settings.
- Locate the Workspace Items text then click the Setup button.
- This will open the workspace customisation functionality.
- Make any amendments as required using the steps outlined earlier in this article.
- Click OK when finished.
💡Tip: You can use the Copy Profile option on the user settings window to copy all of the user settings, including their workspace setup to another user. This helps to bring continuity to users within the practice.
