Creating a New User Login
A user login is required for everyone to login to EXACT, each user should use their unique login to allow tracking of their actions within your system and ensures responsibility and ownership of the tasks they undertake during their day.
User Types
Everyone who needs to access EXACT must use a unique login, depending on their role in your practice will determine which type of user account they require;
- Users, these are general users such as receptionists or management who require access to the features of the software but do not treat patients or have appointments with patients.
- Providers, are any user who treats patients or requires an appointment book such as a dentist or hygienist.
There are also administrators or admins, this type of user has additional access to areas of EXACT and security, both a user or provider can be set as an admin user.
Creating a New User Login
- Go to Configure - Add User / Provider.
- or click the spanner on the appointment book then select Add User / Provider.
- The Add User window will open.
- You can create a new user from scratch or base their settings on an existing user.
- You will need to add the new users' login details, this is commonly their initials.
- Select No for the Is this user a provider option.
- Click Next and add the users' contact details, their password and security settings.
- Once you have entered all your details click finish to complete the setup.
Tips and Tricks
- Each new user will be greeted with a welcome screen, providing them access to a wealth of help articles and everything they need to know to get started using EXACT for the first time.
