EXACT is a client-server-based application, which means that access to the software is restricted to computers connected within the practice; however, with remote access software, you can gain access outside of your practice network.

Software Options

There are multiple remote access software options available, all with different benefits and costs. To ensure that the option you choose matches your requirements and security, we recommend that you discuss these options with your IT support provider.

💡Tip: Choosing an option that remotely controls your practice computer will allow you to gain remote access without the need to purchase an additional EXACT licence. 

Windows Remote Desktop (RDP)

Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) is a popular option, the main difference with RDP is that due to the manner in which it controls your computer, you will need to purchase an additional EXACT licence.
