Second Opinion is a helpful tool that adds an AI layer to dental radiography, assisting in detecting early-stage diseases that may be overlooked. Saving you time, educating your patients, and enhancing case acceptance.

⚠️ As an AI tool, it should be used alongside your clinical judgement.

Opening and Viewing Radiographs in Second Opinion

To get started using Second Opinion within EXACT:

1. Navigate to a patient file.
2. Open the Chart tab.
3. Find the 'Second Opinion' or 'Pearl AI' tab.

Browser and Full Screen Buttons

The Browser button opens Second Opinion on your default web browser. This is particularly helpful if you wish to undock the Second Opinion interface from EXACT onto a new screen.

Similarly to the browser pop-out, you can also undock Second Opinion by pressing the Full Screen button.

Refresh Button

The Refresh button reloads your Second Opinion tab. This button can be used if you have not seen new images come through.

⚠️ Please Note: Images take around 30-60 seconds to be ready for viewing in Second Opinion.

💡Tip: The Second Opinion tab will flash when a new image is available.

Second Opinion Support

Access support with how-to queries by pressing the (?) icon within the Second Opinion window. Alternatively, you can refer to the Second Opinion training video below.

💡 Tip: If you are prompted to enter log credentials when accessing the Second Opinion AI/Pearl AI tab in EXACT, enter your EXACT log username and password. This change was implemented in Spring 2025.
