Rejecting Care Manager Opportunities
Patients may reject treatment that Care Manager has identified as an opportunity. with the Reject functionality, you can remove these rejections from your Care Manager list.
Rejecting Opportunities
⚠️ Note: Before and EXACT update in June 2025, you could not reopen rejected opportunities. This update introduced a Reopen functionality. If you do not have this option in your system, upgrade your system.
Use the Reject option to register that a patient no longer wishes to proceed with their treatment.
- Select a listed open treatment or use CTRL-click to select multiple.
- Click the Reject button.
- Confirm Yes when prompted.
- The rejected status will now appear in the Status column.
Rejected opportunities do not display in the list by default; however, this is an option that you can select using Care Manager filters.
⚠️ Note: Rejecting an opportunity in Care Manager does not affect the Course of Treatment, only the opportunity in Care Manager.
💡 Tip: If a course of treatment (COT) is set as inactive on the patient chart, it is automatically marked as rejected in Care Manager, however, if the COT is set as active, the status in Care Manager will not change.
