Adding a Custom Screen as an Extra Tab
Custom Screens can be added to EXACT so they display as an extra tab on the patient file. A tab that users can use to record custom data in EXACT.
Please Note: You can set a maximum of two Custom Screens as tabs, these tabs will be visible for all users. |
Adding custom screens as extra tabs to the Patient File
- Once the custom screen has been created you need to add the tab by going to Configure - Patient File.
- The two Extra tab options are located at the top of the window.
- Click into the white space next to Extra tab list 1.
- A lined button will appear next to the box, click this.
- A list of all available Custom Screens will open.
- Select the required screen.
- Click OK to set this.
- If required, repeat steps 3 and 4 for Extra tab list 2.
- Click OK to save the Patient File configuration.
- Close any open Patient records or restart EXACT, the extra tabs you have added will be available to record patient details.
Extra tab custom screens not appearing
The security setting of a provider/users account can stop extra tabs being displayed.
Note: You must be signed into EXACT as an admin user to complete the following steps. |
Security Search
- Go to Configure - Security Search.
- Type Custom list into the search.
- To enable for a group,
- Select Custom List 1.
- Tick the box of each security group who needs to access the tab.
- If required, repeat for Add, Edit, or Delete Custom List 1 and the same for Custom List 2.
- Get the affected user to close all Patient records or restart EXACT for the tabs to appear.
Security (pre V24)
- Navigate to Configure - Security.
- Choose the security group of the user from the code field.
- Click the + buttons to expand File.
- Click the + buttons to expand Patients.
- Tick the boxes for Custom List 1 and/or Custom List 2 as required.
- Click the save icon.
Once the users in the security group close the patient file window or log out and back into EXACT the changes will take effect.
