Chair Time Analysis
This report is designed to show whether chair time within the practice is being utilised effectively, and will provide information about:

What time the patient was scheduled for and what time they actually arrived

How long they waited
-
How long they were in the dental chair.
Please note:
This report is effective only when the correct check-in procedure is used; that is, clicking the patient as arrived, and using the Arrivals Door feature to move patients into the chair.
To Run the Chair Time Analysis Report
Go to Administration -> Reports and then select Chair Time Analysis :

Leaving the 'Provider(s)' field empty will print a ‘Chair Time Analysis’ report for the entire practice; however an individual provider can be selected from the list by using the button.

Clicking the button will allow printing for a combination of providers.

The ‘From’ and ‘To’ date fields are used to define the date range for the report.

Placing a tick in the check box(s) next to the ‘Summary Only’ and/or ‘Use Rosters’ will apply those conditions to the report.

The standard option buttons for printing reports are available.
The example below shows a ‘Chair Time Analysis’ report for all providers at the practice, for a selected period of time:
My Appointment Analysis & Chair Time Analysis Reports Average Wait Time Is Different?
The Appointment Analysis report calculates the average wait time as follows:
The average wait time to see the provider. This is the difference between the patients arrival time or patients appointment time (whichever is later) and the time when the provider brings up the chart using the stick man
The Chair Time Analysis report calculates the average wait time as follows:
Time the patient was recorded as seated minus arrival time, unless they arrive early, then it is the seated time minus the scheduled time (if there is no seated or arrival time it is not calculated)
At the bottom of each report is a detailed description of how each column is calculate
