New Patients by Referral Report
This report identifies how new patients heard about your practice.
You can track the effectiveness of an advertising campaign and identify patients who are referring friends and family to your practice.
Running the Report
- Select Administration - Reports.
- Then New Patients by Referral.
- The Print New Patients by Referral window will open.
- Select a Provider(s), to generate a report for one provider,
- If you wish to report on all your providers, leave this blank.
- Or use the Multiple button to select several providers for the report.
- Use the From and To date fields to define the date range for the report.
- The Include Details check box defines the level of detail for the report.
With this option unticked you will be provided with a list of all patients referred by each referee with both their name, patient payor and payor band.
By Ticking this option the report will also provide you with the Referee's Name, Phone Numbers (Home and Work - if available), Total Count of patients referred per referee, and Total count of referred patients.
- You can now either Print, Preview, Email or Export the report
Tips and Tricks

Patients are only reported if they have had a completed appointment. Any patient who has failed to arrive for their appointment is not included in the report.

It is not necessary for patients to have paid to be included in the report.

When a particular Provider is selected for reporting, patients must be "owned" by that Provider to be included in the report (a Dentist or Hygienist must be specified in the Details tab of the patient file).
- Patients who are not owned by a Provider are only included in reporting when the report is for all Providers.
