Task Manager, viewing and editing Tasks
A list of all your tasks will appear when you first log into EXACT or you can find these listed in Tasks.

Task Manager
Task Manager splits your Tasks into four categories.
- To Do, these are all your current tasks including overdue or due today.
- Future Tasks, this contains any due tomorrow or after are listed here.
- Completed Tasks, all of your completed tasks are moved to this column
- My Created, every task you have created appears in this tab.
Viewing Tasks
- Navigate to Administration - Tasks - Tasks or by clicking the Tasks workspace icon.
- Double-click on the Task you wish to view, all the relevant details will be displayed.
- Future and Completed Tasks are stored in their own tabs.
Tip: If you have a large number of Tasks (over 100) tick the Show All box at the bottom of the window to display all tasks for that tab. |
Adding Details/Editing a Task
- Navigate to Administration - Tasks - Tasks or by clicking the Tasks workspace icon.
- Double-click on the Task you wish to view, this will display all current Task information.
- From here you can edit the Reminder time, who is required to edit the task, notifications, priority and Add Details to the Task.
- When Adding details to the Task, select Add Details, you can manually enter information into the window on the left or selecting from Quick Notes, see below for details how to create Quick Notes for use in Tasks.
- Click OK when complete then Close to save changes or Complete and Close to mark the task as complete.
Creating Task Quick Notes
For regular notes, you can create these as Quick Notes, to create a new Quick Note.
- Open any existing Task
or select New Task. - Then Add Details, then +1 to create a new Quick Note.
- From here you can give your note a Description, add a Type (if required) and add your Notes.
Note: Types are used like a category, with similar notes stored under one Type.
For example, the reception team may only use a series of specific notes they wish to access, storing these under Reception could help them locate these quickly. - Select OK when complete.
- The Task will now appear in the list of available Quick Notes.
Tasks when logging into EXACT
Log into EXACT and a list of your tasks will appear, EXACT 13.893 and above will only show Tasks for the current day and overdue Tasks.
Checking tasks when logged into EXACT
To check what tasks have been set for you and how to action them you must first navigate to the task section of EXACT.
- Navigate to Administration - Tasks - Tasks…
Double click on a task to bring up more information.
From here you can select Add Details to add more details to the task.
Completing a task
Completing an open Task
- Open the Task by double-clicking the row.
- Click Complete and Close.
- The Task will now be moved to the Completed Tasks tab.

- Tick the box on the same row as the Task.
- Select another tab or click Close.
- The Task will now be moved to the Completed Tasks tab.
Changing a Tasks completion status
If you need to change the status of a Task from Complete to To Do.
- Select the Completed Tasks tab.
- Remove the tick from the box on the same row as the Task.
- Select another tab or click Close.
- The Task will now be moved to the Completed Tasks tab.
