Incomplete or Suspended NHS Complex Care Pathway COTs
Handling Incomplete or Suspended NHS Complex Care Pathway COTs
Should a patient fail to attend or can't attend, the treatment provider can select the 'Exemption' button and select a completion option of 'Incomplete' or 'Suspended' and select the appropriate reason.
They should then tick the care pathway service and TC the claim. This will be sent as as the final claim of the pathway and no further COTs will be automatically created.
Any incomplete treatment will be placed on the Misc tab.
Suspended pathways can be reopened if the patient returns within 3 months of the initial suspension.
Re-opening the pathway would be achieved by creating a new pathway COT and setting the claim value to the next in sequence.
For example, if the suspension claim was sent as claim 2, set the reopening to claim value 3 and the completion to N/A. EXACT will start recreating the remaining COTs from this point onwards.
