Patient and appointment audit
When an edit is made to a patient file and/or a patient appointmnet, this creates an entry into an audit trail linked to the patient, a number of these can be found on the patient record in EXACT.

Viewing a patient appointment audit
To view the appointment audit of a patient,
- Select Patients.
- Open the required patient file.
- Select the Recalls tab.
- Tick the Show Audit option, located under the Appointment Information section.
This will display a list of all appointments, including deleted and moved appointments. - To view more information about the edits made to the appointment, highlight the row, then select i.
Appointment information will be displayed, including user information (if you are performing an investigation, please view our disclaimer).
Viewing the patient audit
To view the audit,
- Select Patients.
- Open the required patient file.
- Select the Recalls tab.
- Press the Audit button, located under the Appointment Preferences section (if you are performing an investigation, please view our disclaimer).
Disclaimer
Please be advised that the user/provider saved alongside edits in the audit record is that of the user/provider signed in on the computer at that time and not necessarily the user/provider who made the change.
If you find this to be an issue within your practice, we would strongly advise to implement a screen-lock system in your practice, whether this is via a time-out setting or by locking EXACT whenever a user/provider leaves the computer.
