Creating a Patient List

Patient Lists can be used for finding patients matching a certain criteria. These lists can be used for patient auditing or for sending patient communications.
To create a Patient List:

Access Patient Lists:
- Navigate to Administration -> Patient Lists -> Create New List.
- Navigate to Administration -> Patient Lists -> Create New List.

Using a Suggested Search
- If the patient list you want to generate matches a suggested search provided by Software of Excellence, highlight the search and click Find Patients. Please skip to step 8.
- If none of the suggested searches match the patient list you need then you will need to build your own query.

Building a Patient Query
- To begin building your own query click Build New Search in the bottom left.
- Enter a Search Name for your query eg "Practice Plan patients with an appointment next month"
- Enter a description for your list in the "Description" box.
- Queries are made up of one or more conditions.

Adding Conditions
- To add a condition click Add in bottom right.
- Highlight a condition from the list and click OK.
- Enter the information onto that condition and click OK.
- You can toggle Patients With / Patients Without in the top left.
- Prompt for entries will present the user with this condition box every time they run this query.
- Add conditions until the query is complete.

Editing Conditions
- If you want to edit a condition you can highlight the condition and click Edit in the bottom right.
- Make changes to the condition and click OK.

Removing Conditions
- If you want to remove a condition you can highlight the condition and click Remove in the bottom right.

Previewing the List
- Click Preview Results to generate a preview list of patients.
- Previewing the results gives you the opportunity to check a small sample of patients and ensure you are finding the right patients.
- If required, you can update the query by Adding / Editing / Removing conditions.
- To finalise building the list, click Find Patients

Building the List
- Once you have clicked Find Patients you may be presented with a prompt to enter extra information.
- Enter the requested information and click Next / Finish. If the button is labelled Next you will be presented with further requests for information until you click Finish.
- Once generated enter a list name and click Create List
