How to make a family payment using integrated payments (Dojo, PaymentSense or Worldpay)
With Integrated Payments, taking payments for families are a little bit different. Please follow the steps below on how this can be done through Integrated Payments;
First, ensure that the family member is added under the Family Member section on the Details Tab of a patient file.
Once they are added you would begin the process of taking payment by clicking the £. You can see on the right-hand side of the screen the Family member and the total owed by the family;
You then go to process a payment by clicking on the Payment button. Once you have selected this you would enter the payment details and ensure that is this payment is also for another family member you tick them under the Family Member section;
You would then process the payment through Paymentsense / Dojo as you would normally using the integrated payments.
Once the payment has gone through it will add a note to each patient but it will state that the payment was a Transfer from the Patient that made the payment. This will show on the reporting too. If you don't want the name their on the transfer you can click edit on the payment and remove the name out of the comments box. This will stop either patient's names coming up on each other's patient files.
It is important to ensure that the Dentist has charged through the treatment before making the payment so there are invoices present. |
