This article covers how to setup Medicare (CDBS Easyclaim).

1. From File - Payors.
2. Select your CDBS payor.
   • Select the second option This payor sets just the payor’s portion.
   • The Payor Type should be set to Medicare Easyclaim.
   • Make sure the Bulk Billing option is ticked.
   • Click the save option.
3. From Configure - Hicaps or Configure - Claiming Parameters.
   • Process Medicare Easyclaim Claims should be ticked.
   • Click on the spanner icon next to this option.
   • The settings should be as follows: 88000-88999 for General with all options left unticked.
4.  Your Patient Details should have some settings enabled, select a patient record.
   • The patients’s Medicare IRN should be entered, without any zeros.
   • Click the i button next to the Medicare IRN.
   • Enter the patients’s Medicare Card Number without any hyphens or spaces, this should be a 10 digit number.
   • DO NOT CLICK UPDATE, simply click OK.
   • Click on the save icon to save your changes.
