Booking and configuring Recalls from the workflow
Your appointment workflow can prompt for patients to book their recall appointments, helping you to secure a date in your patients diary.
Recall appointments are for patients who have no planned future treatments.

Booking a Recall appointment
- Hover your mouse cursor over the Recall link to see details of the Recall.
- To book the appointment, you can,
- Drag the Recall appointment directly into the appropriate time in the Appointment Book.
- Click the Search icon to open the Appointment Time Search window, pre-populated with first available times, from where you can book the appointment.
- or Click the first available link to display that date in the Appointment Book (then drag the Recall Appointment into the book).
Configuring your recalls for the appointment workflow
- Go to Configure - Practice Settings.
- Make sure Enable Appointment Workflow is ticked.
- Click the Spanner button to access the workflow settings.
- Tick Book a Recall Appointment for Treatment Complete Patients
- Click Next to move onto the next configuration window
Requirements for Recalls to display in the appointment workflow
- Recalls must be specified as actions in the Appointment Workflow Wizard, as outlined above.
- The patient requires a recall appointment to be booked.
- There are no planned or scheduled future treatments for the patient. Only after a patient's last treatment is completed will that patient become subject to Recall, so in the Departure List you will never see both Appointment and Recall tasks.
