Appointment Workflow - The complete patient journey
The appointment workflow feature enables your practice to quickly move the patient through each stage of their appointment journey whilst collecting and inputting all of the necessary information required along the way. Below explains the appointment workflow journey:
Reception Part 1
Mark your patient as arrived, completing any outstanding forms as required

Surgery
- When the provider is ready to see the next patient, double click the stickman waiting at the
door, highlight the patient and select ‘Move Patient to Chair’.

- Chart the patient’s treatment, see: Charting Treatment.
- Tick the appointment that you have completed today and click ‘Charge’ or "TC" if the course of treatment is complete.
4. The provider will be prompted to mark todays appointment as complete (if you do not have this prompt go to Configure, User Settings and tick Prompt to Complete Appointments then save) see: Marking an Appointment as Completed / Sending to the To Depart Bar
A new form will now appear for you to advise reception which appointments you would like them to book today, the length of the appointment/s that you wish to be booked and any notes. When this is completed click ‘Close’. This will now send the information to reception and will appear in the Depart Bar on the left-hand side of the appointment book.
The provider can continue adding clinical notes if required, even after charging. you have until midnight on the same day to add/amend charged clinical notes.
Reception Part 2
Click and complete each task on the depart bar.

Once all the tasks have been completed the task box will disappear and the patient’s appointment will automatically be marked as completed with a black tick.
