Cannot Connect to the Clinipad Link Service - EXACT Error
Troubleshooting steps if your EXACT system is displaying an error that it cannot connect to the Clinipad link service.
EXACT is Unable to Connect to the Clinipad Link Service
An error message will be displayed if your system cannot connect to the service that connects your Clinipad devices to EXACT.
- Log in to EXACT as an admin user.
- Go to Configure - Settings.
- Search for Clinipad.
- Check that the setting clinipad.webservice.server.computername displays the correct server name or IP address. If it does not, change this and then close EXACT and then log back in.
- On your server computer;
- Ensure the computer is on a private, work or domain network (Not Public).
- If it is on a public network or a 3rd party software controls the firewall settings, try adding in TCP inbound rules for ports 8082 & 8765.
Alternative Fixes

Clear DNS cache.
- Launch Command Prompt.
- Then type IPCONFIG/flushdns
- Check router DNS settings.
- Log in to your router (the procedure varies depending on router make/model).
- Check your DNS settings on the router and amend if necessary.
