Cannot Connect to the Clinipad Link Service - Tablet Error
Troubleshooting steps if your Clinipad device is displaying an error that it cannot connect to the Clinipad link service.
Clinipad is Unable to Connect to the Clinipad Link Service
When a Clinipad does not connect to the link service when launching the app, try the following:
- Take note of the information in the error message, specifically the IP address.
- Check that the IP address matches your server computer's IP address.
- You can find your IPv4 Address by launching Command Prompt on your computer by typing CMD into your Windows search bar, then typing ping followed by the server name.
- Or launch Command Prompt on your server computer, then type IPCONFIG to reveal its IPv4 Address.
- Restart the Clinipad SOEI App on the tablet, ensure it is not minimised in the background.
- Restart the tablet to rule this out too.
- Confirm the tablet is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Check the Wi-Fi connection is working; you can test this by browsing to a new website.
- Pair the Clinipad device.
- Test the device is now working.
Additional Troubleshooting
If you have confirmed the EXACT server IP address is correct, you can perform additional steps.
- Open the app store on your tablet.
- Download an app called Ping.
- Once it is installed, enter your EXACT server's IP address, then test the connection.
- If the request times out, please speak to your IT support provider to get assistance to connect your tablet/s to your server on your Wi-Fi network.
