NHS free replacements
When providing a patient with free replacment treatment under NHS guideliness, you will need to make some ammendments to your charting in EXACT.
| NHS Guidelines: If, following the Examination, no other treatment other than the repair / replacement of the guaranteed item(s) is found to be necessary, then no patient charge is applicable, not even for the Examination. If additional treatment apart from the provision of the repair and replacement of the guaranteed items is identified and provided following the Examination process, then the patient would be liable to pay the appropriate band charge if they are a fee paying patient. |

Marking a service as a free replacement
- Chart the service as normal.
- Double-click on the service/s.
- Locate Free Replacement.
- Tick the Free Replacement box
- Click OK
- The NHS cost should now be waivered with the same UDA value should remaining.
