This feature allows a centralised administrator the ability to make email and SMS templates available to multiple EXACT practices at the click of a button. Ideal for groups of practices/dental corporates.

This feature uses SOE Connect (EXACT’s web platform) to drive this functionality. The EXACT practice must therefore be onboarded with Connect and the central admin user must also be a Connect user.

Creating Email Templates

As EXACT will still be sending the emails, we strongly recommend you make sure the email template is precisely as you expect in EXACT first.

Please also ensure that any images included in the template are referenced via URLs, so that all the practices you publish the email template to, can access those images correctly.

Once you are happy with the layout, simply select the HTML button in EXACT’s Email template window, and copy the text.

Then Log into Connect, accessing the Patient communications menu.

Select the Email Templates tab and click ‘Create New”.

Enter a Code as you want it to appear in EXACT. The subject is the subject of the email. The description is a way for you to describe the template for easy identification in future.

Then simply paste the HTML you copied from EXACT into the HTML section and click the Publish button.

This will make the email template available to all practices registered with your tenant in Connect.

Creating SMS Templates

As EXACT will still be sending the SMS, we recommend you make sure the SMS template is precisely as you expect in EXACT first.

Once you are happy with the format and length, simply copy the text.

Then Log into SOE Connect, accessing the Patient communications menu.

Select the SMS Templates tab and click ‘Create New”.

Enter a Name, which will be the EXACT code. The description is a way for you to describe the template for easy identification in future.

Then simply paste the text you copied from EXACT into the text section and click the Publish button.

This will make the SMS template available to all practices registered with your tenant in Connect.
