Updating Service Fees
When you update your price list, you'll need to update your service fees, EXACT provides you with two options to perform this in bulk.
- Increasing or Decreasing your Fees by a Given Percentage
- Creating a New Set of Fees to use from a Set Date
- Reversing a Fee Update
Please Note: If you need to update an individual service or a handful of services, you'll need to follow editing services. |
Increasing or Decreasing your Fees by a Given Percentage
Please Note: Any incomplete/planned treatment that has already been charted on a patient's course of treatment will not update to the new fee. If you do wish for the fee to update for incomplete/planned service items on a course of treatment you will need to rechart the service to refresh the fee value. |
- Go to Configure - Services/Stock Items - View Services.
- Select Fee Updates.
- You will be prompted to select an option.
- Select Increase or decrease your fees by a given %.
- Click OK.
- You will now be prompted to select options on the Percentage Fee Adjust window.
- Select the schedule to be updated.
- Tick the boxes of the Price options to be increased, at least one must be selected (Price 2 is the default setting used by EXACT).
- You also have the option to Undo the last fee change you made, this is only to be used if a mistake has previously been made.
- Click OK.
- The Increase or Decrease Fees prompt will open.
- Enter the amount in Percent Change you wish your fees to be increased or use a negative figure to decrease.
- Enter the amount you wish to Round up to, this defaults to 1.00.
- You can also select individual Service Categories or all categories to adjust, you must select at least one.
- Only click OK when you are happy with your selection as the fee update will take place instantly.
Creating a New Set of Fees to use from a Set Date
- Go to Configure - Services/Stock Items - View Services.
- Select Fee Updates.
- You will be prompted to select an option.
- Select Create a new set of fees to use from a given date.
- Click OK.
- You will now be prompted to enter information for to Add Fee Schedule.
- Enter a Code to identify the new schedule.
- Add a Description to further identify the schedule.
- Change the Effective Date to the date you wish this new fee schedule to take effect.
- For the fee increase, you can select which current fee schedule to Base Fees on, select by clicking into the box.
- If you want this new schedule to take effect for all providers, tick the Set for all providers on Effective date box, unticking this will save the
- Click OK.
- You will now be prompted to select options on the Percentage Fee Adjust window.
- Select the schedule to be updated.
- Tick the boxes of the Price options to be increased, at least one must be selected (Price 2 is the default setting used by EXACT).

Reversing a Fee Update
After creating a fee update, you can reverse the change.
- Go to Configure - Services/Stock Items - View Services.
- Select Fee Updates.
- You will be prompted to select an option.
- Select Increase or decrease your fees by a given %.
- Click OK.
- You will now be prompted by the Percentage Fee Adjust window.
- Select Undo the last fee change you made, this is only to be used if a mistake has previously been made.
- Click OK.
