Enabling 3D Tooth Charting
The default graphical tooth chart is displayed in 2D, however, 3D tooth charting is available, if you would prefer to view your tooth charting in 3D.
The 3D tooth chart has a higher use of your computer graphics cards. Therefore, if you notice a decrease in computer performance, it is recommended you disable 3D tooth charting until you have discussed graphics cards with your hardware supplier.
Enabling 3D Tooth Charting
- Open the chart tab on a patient record.
- Click the 3D button at the top of the treatment area.
- This will open the 3D chart setup wizard.
- You will be prompted to check your hardware or software to determine which rendering modes are available, this will then automatically default to the best option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed to enable 3D charting.
- Once completed, you will see the 3D charting replace the 2D.
- You can now switch between 3D and 2D charting by clicking the 3D/2D button at the top of the treatment area.
Tips and Tricks
- You can disable 3D charting via the menu options configure - 3D charting then proceed through the configuration wizard and removing the tick from the enable 3D charting option.

The first time that 3D tooth charting is activated, a wizard will guide you through the configuration.

The wizard only needs to be run once on each workstation, however, it can be re-run from the Configure - 3D Charting at any time to change settings if there are hardware changes.
