Adding and Editing Notes for an Appointment
Notes can be added to an appointment to highlight information that may be necessary for your dental practice to know.
Adding Appointment Notes
Appointment notes can be added to any appointment so long as it is on the same day as the appointment or it is in the future.
Adding Notes on the Appointment Book
- Double-click on an appointment to open the appointment window or when you are creating an appointment.
- Click your mouse cursor in the Notes about this appointment section.
- Add any notes as required.
- Click Save to update the record and save your changes.
Adding Notes on the Chart
- Double-click on the appointment row to open the appointment window.
- The Edit Appointment prompt will open.
- Add any notes as required.
- Click Save to update the record and save your changes.
💡Tip: Notes added to future appointments in the chart tab will appear in the To Depart team for the reception team to view.
Editing Appointment Notes
⚠️ Please Note: You can only edit notes for an appointment on the same day or in the future.
You can amend appointment notes by following the same steps as adding them to an appointment.
Appointment Notes in the To Depart Column
Notes added to a future appointment on the chart screen will be displayed in the appointment workflow or To Depart column.

💡Tip: Cancellation notes will appear in the same Notes about this appointment section.
