There are two different perio options in EXACT, these are single-screen (advanced option) and original perio charting.

Single Screen Perio Charting Overview

Single-screen perio charting displays the tooth chart (ondontagram) and allows the user to record all the perio data on one screen including. This data includes pockets, recession, bleeding, mobility, plaque, suppuration, and furcation.

Using the pocket depth and recession to calculate the attachment score and highlight if the score is over a certain figure. The clinician can then add a diagnosis and treatment plan information for a detailed perio report.

Colour coding

Some status fields are coloured to represent different values.

For example, attachment over a certain value can trigger the field to display in red with different values associated with colours in these fields.

Element Comment Field

Each element has an optional comment field, this can be a maximum of 10 characters. Depending on the width of the character, not all characters may be visible.

The perio chart has comments fields for diagnosis and treatment plan.

Adding Perio Charting

1. Open a patient record and select the perio tab.
2. Click the +1 button to create a new perio workspace area.
3. A new perio chart will open over the top of the perio tab feature.
   • Enter a name for the chart.
   • Press the tab key to move to the first section, as defined in the tab order of your perio configuration.
   • Complete the perio examination entering information as required.
   • Once completed, click OK to save.
4. The chart name will then be listed in the perio area
   
   • From here you can select it to view the read-only chart at right, edit, print or delete.
