The Clinipad application must be installed on your Android tablet or iPad to start using Clinipad in your dental practice.

Clinipad Configuration 

1. You will be prompted to configure your network for your Clinipad to connect to EXACT. Set the IP address to your practice server IP address (IPV4 address, I.E, 192.168.120.2 - your IP address will be different to this.
   💡 Tip: Request your IT to set your server IP address as static so this will not change - failure to do this will result in repeat configurations each time your server IP address updates.
   
   • You can find your IPv4 Address by launching Command Prompt on your computer by typing CMD into your Windows search bar, then typing ping followed by the server name.
   • Or launch Command Prompt on your server computer then type IPCONFIG to reveal its IPv4 Address.
     💡 Tip: You can check if your server IP address is static by launching Command Prompt on your server computer by typing CMD into your Windows search bar then type IPCONFIG/all then locate DHCP Enabled, if this is set to yes then your IP address is not static.
     
2. Set the Port Number to 8082, this is the default port.
3. Set the Root folder to ClinipadSOE.
4. Submit the setup information.
5. You should now be prompted to pair the device to one of the available Clinipad devices configured within EXACT.

Changing the Server IP Address on Android

1. On your Android device, access the settings menu.
2. Then search for Apps or Application Manager.
   • This is commonly located in the general section of the menus.
3. Search and select Clinipad SOEI on the list of apps.
4. Find and select the option, Clear Data.
   • Sometimes this is within a sub-menu under Storage.
5. Once you have cleared the data, launch the Clinipad SOEI app.
6. You will now be prompted to enter your EXACT server IP address.
7. Repeat this for any other tablets that may need to be reconfigured.

Changing the Server IP Address on iPad

1. On your iPad, access the settings menu.
2. Then scroll down to the bottom of the main list, you should find Clinipad SOEI, select this.
   • This is often located near the bottom of the list.
3. An area named IP Address should be available to the right of the screen.
4. Click into this and enter the new IP Address for your EXACT Server.
5. Launch the Clinipad SOEI app.
6. Repeat this for any other tablets that may need to be reconfigured.
