Installing EXACT workstation
The Installation of EXACT workstation should only be required for new/replacement computers as the workstation would usually automatically update following any updates to your EXACT Server version.
Installing EXACT on a workstation
Please Note: If this workstation is new and not replacing a previous computer, please ensure you have a spare license or have purchased a new license in advance of this installation. |
- Before you begin, ensure the computer meets the minimum requirements, see: EXACT system requirements.
- On the workstation, navigate to the following location

\\{server}\exactresources\WorkstationInstaller\Manually Install EXACT Inno Workstation.exe
Replace {server} with your EXACT server name - Then run the Manually Install EXACT Inno Workstation.exe file by double-clicking it
- Older EXACT versions will contain the file name Install EXACT Workstation.exe instead

- If you cannot access the EXACT Server location over the network you may require the Windows network credentials to connect to the server, please speak to your IT for assistance.

- After the installer window appears, complete the install wizard by reading & agreeing to the EULA agreement then clicking next a few times before the installation begins.

- Please keep the default install location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Software of Excellence\EXACT)
Once complete you will see the desktop shortcut for EXACT Dental. You can now launch and log in. - Workstation licensing
- If this is an additional workstation and you have increased your EXACT licenses, open EXACT and log in, the new license will automatically be assigned to this new workstation
- If this is replacing an existing/old workstation, you will need to re-assign the license.
- If running EXACT 13.933 or newer, you will be prompted to do this upon login
- If running any version prior to EXACT 13.933, you will need to contact the EXACT support team for assistance
- Managing EXACT licences for assistance on either of these options
