Troubleshooting a Clinipad error when EXACT fails to communicate with the Clinipad link service.
Clinipad Not Communicating with the Clinipad Link Service
This error can be isolated to a single workstation, some or all, follow the appropriate troubleshooting steps.
All Computers, Including the Server
⚠️Please Note: You will need access to your server computer or the computer that your Clinipad service is installed.
- On the EXACT Server computer.
- Type services.msc in the Windows Search and open this program.

Locate the CliniPad link service.
- Click anywhere in the list, then type 'Clinipad' to skip to this area in the list.

Check the Status of this service; it should be Running.
⚠️ Please Note: If the service is not installed, your Clinipad service may be installed on another computer in your practice or it has been uninstalled and that is causing the issue you are attempting to resolve. If it is not installed on another computer, contact EXACT support. - If the service is simply not running, right-click the service and Start or Restart it, then test your Clinipad/s' connects to the service.

Check that the Clinipad firewall rule has been added.
- Ports 8082 and 8765 TCP inbound on the server; this should not cause this issue but worth checking during this troubleshooting.
- If the issue persists, contact EXACT support.
One or Some Computers but not the Server

Confirm that the following setting in EXACT is set to the correct computer for the Clinipad link service.
- clinipad.webservice.server.computername = "SERVER"

Confirm the following setting clinipad.webservice.rootclassname is set to clinipad.
- Click Reset default setting to reset this if uncertain of the settings.
