Appointment Book (Multiday)
The multiday appointment book is an alternative appointment book option, providing you with the ability to view several days of appointments for one provider on screen.
With options to view 5, 7, 14 or 28 days of appointments at one time.
Opening the multiday appointment book
- File - appointments - multiday appointment book.
- Alternatively click the dropdown arrow on the appointments workspace icon then select multiday.
Selecting a provider
The provider initials shown at the top of the window identify which provider appointment book is being displayed.
- Use the up/down arrows to move through your provider alphabetically.
- Or use the selection button to open all providers and select the desired provider.
Days displayed
You have a choice of the number of days (and therefore) columns displayed. By using the 5, 7, 14 and 28-day buttons in the upper-right of the screen you can adjust the number of days displayed at one time.
Other buttons
On the right-hand side of the header bar are the following two buttons.
- The first button displays the current provider's "View Month" window (appointments, blocks, breaks, etc.).
- The second button is used to restrict appointment times by setting blocks and clinics and other times not available for general patient appointments.
Provider multiday appointment book configuration
To configure a specific provider's multiday appointment book;
- Navigate to file - providers - view providers.
- Select the provider.
- Select the appointments tab.
- Under the heading single column and multiday book.
- Adjust start/end time and appointment length.
- Reduce the appointment book interval to maximise the space on the multiday view.
Tips and Tricks
- If one provider has a large amount of space at the bottom of their multiday appointment book, reduce their appointment book interval time until the display is as desired. You can find settings for this above in the provider multiday appointment book configuration section.
- If the appointment book screen is resized, the column headers may also switch between different date modes as appropriate for the column widths, depending on your screen size and resolution.
When in 14 or 28-day mode, there is not enough room to display all the information for the appointment, as these modes are intended to give you an overview of appointments for a fortnight or month, rather than detailed information. However, you can view a particular appointment's details by hovering your mouse pointer over the appointment, which will display a tool-tip.
