The recalls tab located in the activity tabs area of the appointment book displays a list of all patients in the practice and their recall information. 

You can add this tab via the settings spanner at the top-right of your appointment book.

Adding recalls to appointment book slots

1. Open your appointment book and select the recalls tab.
2. Double-click the recall date in the recalls tab to display the relevant recall information.
   • This shows the required duration of the appointment which is calculated by the default time as configured in the services, service type and the last seen provider.
   • Ideally your appointment should be booked with the same provider for this duration.
   • The service type may be important for booking if your practice groups services by dates and times.
     
3. Locate an available slot in your appointment book, matching the provider in the recall (Dentist or Hygienist).
   • You cannot add a dentist booking to a hygienist provider, or vice versa.
4. Drag the recall date from either the Dentist or Hygienist column in the recalls tab, and drop it in the slot.
   
   • The patient details will be displayed in the appointment booking, and the recall will show as booked in the recalls tab.
     

Cancelling recall appointments

A booked recall appointment will display as an occupied appointment time and display a booked status in the recalls tab.

If you cancel a recall appointment the booked status will reset in the recalls tab.

1. Select the appointment in the appointment book.
   • Click the cancel button in the lower right of the screen.
     
   • Click yes to confirm in the confirmation screen.
   • Use the selector controls to add a cancellation reason.
   • Then click OK.
     
2. Add any notes if necessary, and then click OK.

The appointment slot will become available and the recall will revert to its previous status in the recalls tab.

Tips and Tricks

• Adding recalls to appointment slots does not apply to automated recalls, for which appointments may be confirmed without user intervention.
