Configuring Label Templates
Create label templates to select pre-configured labels when printing patient labels.
Label Templates
Label templates are saved in the Label Details screen.
⚠️Note: Presentation Manager must be enabled to utilise this functionality (EXDOC-PRO).
Creating a New Label
- Open a patient record, select a patient.
- Click the label button along the top of the patient record.
- Click the +1 to create a new label.
- Select an existing template to use as a template for the new template.
- Enter a new Template Name and select the desired Category, if required.
- Presentation Manager will now load, ready for you to create your new label.
🔗 Read the Creating and Editing Templates help article for guidance on creating a new template.
Existing Label Templates
If your patient label templates are already configured.
- Optionally specify a Provider and type a Description (required if this information populates merge fields in the Label template):
- Provider: The Provider merge field in the document (if any).
- Description: Description to identify this label template. When the label is printed, the text entered in this field will be written to the Contacts tab in the Patient File, in the Description column (as in the image below).
- Category: Associate a Category with the template. Default is Admin Document.
Add, edit and delete categories by means of the Selector controls.
- Select a Label Template, preview it at right, and then click Print.
💡 Tip: Categories are significant in the Patient File Contacts tab. This allows contacts to be sorted by category. The template description field is shown in the Description column.
