Patient Portal disabling for an individual patient
To comply with GDPR Requirements for Subject Erasure Requests in the UK, you can now turn off Patient Portal for a specific patient. This is available from EXACT V13.191.
- Open the patient file.
- Under Contact Preference, select Preferences.
- Select the option Stop sending this patient's information to patient portal under the section Turn off patient portal.
- Select OK.
By default, all patients are opted-in to patient experience (the check box is unticked). When a patient is opted-out from Patient Portal, the Patient Portal button will be disabled on the patient file toolbar and on the edit appointment toolbar, the patient portal merge field will be blank.
Once Patient Portal has been disabled for a patient, any communications containing the Patient Portal URL will not upload the patient forms to their portal.
This means that their patient data is no longer processed in the portal and the patient will be unable to complete their forms online or use the self check-in.
