Sending X-Rays via Email
There are several ways to email or attach X-Rays to emails in EXACT.
Emailing from the Images tab
- Open the patient file, then the Chart tab.
- In the Images tab, locate the X-Ray to be emailed.
- Right click on the image, selecting Send to.
- You will be prompted to confirm the image quality, this is due to the image being converted to a JPG.
- You will now be prompted to enter Email Details, selecting a template if one exists that you wish to use.
- After making these decisions, you will be presented with a copy of the email/blank template for you to complete. The image will be stored in the Attach section.
Tip: If you wish to attach more documents/images to the email, click Attach. Steps on this process can be found here. - Draft your email then press Send to process the email with the X-Ray image attached.
Attaching to an Email / Multiple images
You can also attach an image directly to an Email without selecting the image first.
- Open the patient file, then the click the Email option.
- You will now be prompted to enter Email Details, selecting a template if one exists that you wish to use.
- After making these decisions, you will be presented with a copy of the email/blank template for you to complete.
- Select Attach to launch the Attachment Picker, follow the steps to locate the required attachment. By using the Image Type drop-down option you can view different types of document/images.
- Move any documents/images from the Available window to the Selected window using the arrow buttons.
- Select Finish when you have selected all required options.
- These will now appear in the Attach section on the email draft.
- Press Send to process the email with all attachements.
