Advanced Perio Root Surface
Advanced perio root surface dataset has been renamed to align with the NHS by changing to Advanced Perio RSD. Since this change it may be required to change this data set on any services that require this data set and alter the Chart Graphic, steps to do this are outlined below.
- Navigate to Configure - Services.
- Choose the service to have the data set assigned.
- Select the Chart Graphic drop-down menu and select Tooth Frame.
For the dataset 'Advanced Perio RSD' to appear on the Clinical Data Set tab, the Chart Graphic must be set to 'Tooth Frame', if this is not set on the service you will need to contact our support team to set this. - Under FP17/O Data Set, select the correct data set.
- OK to save.
Endodontic treatment (introduced 1st April 2022)
Endodontic treatment codes are 9370 (molars) 9372 (Non molars). EXACT will change this code based on the tooth it is charted on.
However, you will need to ensure the chart graphic is set to TOOTH FRAME for that service, EXACT will recognize if this is a molar or non-molar and add the equivalent code to the transmission - 9370 or 9372.
To edit a chart graphic:
- Select Configure - Services to open the List Service Items screen.
- Locate and double-click the Service Item.
- Change Chart Graphic to Tooth Frame.
Data sets not showing on Clinical Data Set tab
If the a data set is not displaying on the Clinical Data Set tab after TC'ing a course of treatment (COT), there are two things to check. In this instance we will focus on Advanced Perio RSD, select the service and ensure both the Chart Graphic is set to Tooth Frame and the FP17/O Data Set is set to Advanced Perio RSD. Click here to view how to do this.
Once the tooth frame has been set, you will need to resubmit the COT, delete the service and chart this again on the tooth/teeth with advanced perio RSD and TC the COT. The data set will now be displayed on the Clinical Data Set tab.
